Getting Clients From Google Maps

When it comes to client acquisition, apart from referrals, leveraging Google Maps is one of my top strategies.

In this quick article, I'll walk you through the process step-by-step.

Why Google Maps?

The beauty of this outreach strategy lies in its simplicity—yet, surprisingly, few people use it!

The Google Maps Blueprint

Start with these searches on Google:

  • [X] service in [x] city. For example: "home cleaning in New York"

  • [X] near me. For example "Tax Lawyer near me"

Here's what to focus on:

  1. Google Reviews: Target businesses with rating of less than 3/5 stars.

Action: Setup an automated email campaign for their customers, promoting them to leave a review seven days after service.

  2. Website: Evaluate their online presence for:

    • Poor SEO

    • Bad Design

    • Lack of clear call-to-action (CTA)

    • Slow website speed

If you're not sure what a successful website should look like, check out my video:

Let's get started

Now that we know our target criteria, let’s dive into some potential leads.

Search for:

  • Florists near me

  • Optometrists near me

  • Vein removal in [city]

  • Landscapers in [city]

  • Dentists in [city]

  • Electricians near me

  • Painters in [city]

  • Architects in [city]

  • Brick pavers in [city]

  • Deck installers in [city]

  • Garage door installers in [city]

  • Storage facilities in [city]

Once you've identified potential clients based on the review and website criteria we discussed, it’s time to reach out and present your services.

If you prefer phone outreach, check out this insightful video by Rob O' Rourke on Cold Calls.

What to expect

While results can vary, here's a ballpark estimate:

  • 100 outreach emails sent

  • 5-8 replies received

  • 2 clients secured

Remember, persistence is key - don't give up after just a few emails!

Bonus Tip

For even better results, record a Loom video showcasing the issues with their website and attach it to your email. This personal touch can improve your outreach effectiveness.

That’s a wrap!
