If you're a freelancer, you likely use Figma to create wireframe designs.

First, open up Figma and search for the "Figma to Wix Studio" plugin. Go ahead and install it.

  • Wait for the process to complete. It usually takes less than a minute.

There you have it.

You have created your first Figma to Wix Studio website. Easy enough, right? The site you create should be usable but there are still a few things to keep in mind and edit.

What To Do After Your website as been imported

Ensure Responsiveness

To make sure your design looks good on all devices:

  • Click on a section and select "Responsive AI."

  • Generate to ensure responsiveness across all devices.

Add Menus and Functional Elements

Initially, menus won’t be dynamic. To make them functional, add a menu from the panel section in Wix Studio.

Save Components For Reuse

Always reuse components and assets where possible. Save sections or components for future projects to save time. Tools like Tailwind and ShuffleDev are great for building with existing frameworks.

Common Questions about importing Wix Studio websites with Figma

One common question is whether faster work should mean lower charges. The answer is no.

Clients pay for the outcome, not the time spent. For instance, if a painter uses a spray painting machine to complete a job faster, the client still pays for the finished room, not the time spent.

The same principle applies here.

Another question is whether you should tell clients about using templates. Generally, you don’t need to. Clients care about the result, not the process.

Another example, accountants use software to quickly determine taxes, and clients pay for accurate results, not the time spent on calculations.

It’s important to focus on delivering excellent outcomes rather than explaining the tools and methods used.

So try it out and share your experience in the Freelance Fam Community.

Cheers.
